As a Parent or Guardian of a
Child Participating in Great Neck PAL
Your
Responsibilities to Your Childs Team Are:
1. To attend all League and Team Meetings
2. Keep facilities clean ---- use trash containers
3. Remember proper field conduct:
* Root for the Teams and acknowledge good plays by either team
* Non-players must STAY OUT of Dugouts, Off Fields, and Out of Buildings
(without authorization)
* Abide by all Park Regulations
4. Booing and Negative Displays are never in order and should be discouraged in others
5. SHOW SUPPORT FOR THE CHILDREN WHILE THEY PLAY
THE PROMISE THAT YOU MADE:
I/We hereby pledge to provide positive support, care, and
encouragement for my child participating in PAL
by following this Parents' Code of League Ethics and
Responsibilities:
To encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, managers, coaches, and officials at every game, practice or other league activities.
To place the emotional and physical well being of my child ahead of a personal desire to win.
To insist that my child play in a safe and healthy environment.
To support the manager, coaches, and officials working with my child, in order to encourage a positive and enjoyable experience for all.
To maintain a sports environment for my child that is free of drugs, tobacco, and alcohol, and to refrain from their use at all PAL events.
To remember that the game is for children - not for the adults.
To do my very best to make PAL fun for my child.
To ask my child to treat other players, managers, coaches, spectators, and League Officials with respect regardless of race, sex, creed, or ability.
To review with my child the PAL Code of Conduct and to encourage the positive aspect of the sport at all times

GREAT NECK P.A.L. RULES OF CONDUCT

The following are the Rules of Conduct as they apply to
Players, Coaches, League Officials, Parents and Spectators.
Listed next to each infraction are the guidelines for penalties specified by PAL. The Board of Directors of the Great Neck PAL may, if circumstances warrant, impose different penalties. In all cases, a player or coach includes both PAL players and coaches and those of the opposing teams. Officials include anyone serving in an official capacity within PAL, a tournament or league official. SANCTIONS WILL BE IMPOSED BY THE COMMISSIONER WITH CONSULTATION WITH THE UMPIRE(S) AND COACHES THE PENALTIES MAY BE IMPOSED BY THE GREAT NECK PAL EXECUTIVE BOARD WITH CONSULTATION WITH THE UMPIRE(S) AND COACHES.

* The penalties may be imposed by the Commissioner with consultation with the umpire(s), referee(s) and coaches.
